Camp Pendleton’s Varsity women’s soccer squad rolled through the regular season of the City of Carlsbad Adult Women’s Soccer League. The ladies kept rolling Sunday night, finishing off their stellar run in their first year of existence with another win in the League’s title game.
Teresa Ballman came up with two clutch, second-half goals, leading Pendleton to a 2-0 victory over its rival, Carlsbad Rapid Fire. Pendleton’s only blemish during the season’s eight games was a tie suffered at the hands of the Rapid Fire. But with the first-place trophy on the line, Ballman left no doubt about it.
“(Ballman) is one of my more skilled players and a team captain,” Varsity head coach Julio Muniz said after the victory at Aviara Park in Carlsbad. “I picked her as a team cap
